Our limited release ‘Whey Stout’ Single Malt is produced by finishing carefully selected BPD tawny cask stock in a 100L Pedro Ximenez cask which has been seasoned for us by Bruny Island Beer Co.
They have barrel aged their ‘Whey Stout’ in this Pedro barrel for three months, producing a powerful and complex Single Malt Whisky that can be enjoyed in perfect harmony with Bruny Island Cheese Co. Cheeses, and of course a Barrel Aged Whey Stout.
Deep golden syrup in colour, creamy choc malt on the nose, some spicy tropical fruit and marshmallows on the palate which is smooth and luscious, finishing with lightly roasted coffee and vanilla.
Bottled at cask strength, 60.5% abv.
